The Vice Chancellor Credit: actov It was a night journey from Nnewi to Nsukka. We faithfully expected it to last for only 2 hours, but we weren't  fortunate enough to have a benevolent spirit that will crack our kernels for us. However, the cathedral of trauma that muffled our youthful voices on the journey, paved way for me to lay my humble eyes on that "Transport University" with a Vice Chancellor. I was forced into an ocean of peculiar imagination of on how this 'Transport University with a Vice Chancellor' would function because I deemed it impossible and impracticable. In our Country, it is not strange to hear of members of the law enforcement agencies paying the ultimate price in the course of executing their constitutional duties most times under murky and unsavory circumstances. For eons of years, the Joe Bloggs of these law enforcement agencies have ceaselessly reeked displeasure over the malady etched in their modus operandi and have pinpointed it as the main reason patrotic officers continuously fall prey to men of the underworld. However, it is anomalous and berating when comrades in the Armed Forces who ought to be peas in a pod begin to engage in wrangles even to the height of exchanging friendly fire. STRIKE ENDS AS JOHESU ORDERS ITS WORKERS TO RESUME WORK.                         Johesu chiefs The joint health workers Union directed its workers to resume work from 4th June 2018, thereby ending the strike that started on April over the failure of the Federal Government to honour terms of agreements it reached with JOHESU since 2009, especially the agreement reached on September 30, 2017, which had a time frame of five weeks. According to union the decision to call off the strike follows the intervention of the National Industrial Court who took over the process between the health workers and the Federal Government. Prior to the suspension of the strike the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, held a meeting on Monday with JOHESU’s and the Minister of Labour, Productivity and Employment, Dr. Chris.
