STRIKE ENDS AS JOHESU ORDERS ITS WORKERS TO RESUME WORK. Johesu chiefs The joint health workers Union directed its workers to resume work from 4th June 2018, thereby ending the strike that started on April over the failure of the Federal Government to honour terms of agreements it reached with JOHESU since 2009, especially the agreement reached on September 30, 2017, which had a time frame of five weeks. According to union the decision to call off the strike follows the intervention of the National Industrial Court who took over the process between the health workers and the Federal Government. Prior to the suspension of the strike the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, held a meeting on Monday with JOHESU’s and the Minister of Labour, Productivity and Employment, Dr. Chris.
