Blood And Wine
Dying of thirst,
War mongers haunts,
The country aloof quakes,
Who will save the land?
Sons of the soil abroad,
Dance with celebration
In the company of white rams
To pacify the conflict.
To the old hands that bore them,
The White rams gave wine,
The crippled and the grizzled
All took and waited but the grave time.
Doze off, and no quick return,
The young maidens are tupped,
Young lads fastens to revolt,
But nothing is demanded but their blood.
The people terrified,
Yet unwilling to embark
On the sea to save
The drowned maiden, crowns,
grey and the sucklings.
They are here and there,
Taught the people how to pray,
And close the eyes,
When it is wide open,
Invaders had the land.
And the people had the bible.
The thirst they satiated,
Offered wine to the red capped,
Warrants just to get heads,
The people drink wine,
They take heads.
Brought the people together,
Bound in one entity,
Taught them morals,
Yet set in religious fanaticism.
Brought the bible,
Took the land.
Thought them to pray and worship,
Yet the buildings not holy,
Even roadside huts are brothel.
Governed the people,
Extorted minerals-
Gold, diamond, silver,
All Havocs and inimical
The people ignorantly gave in
Boasted of worship centres,
Learne men's homes,
The man on White robes
Have their own houses,
For quick revival of lives
Yet freedom was wrapped
In a sack, waiting to be unveiled.
Forty six years is gone
Now on shore of knowledge
The dry bones rose,
The blood and wine,
Merged to get freedom,
No other option than to
Give back the rented land
To its real owner.
