Road To Success

In the environ of success the best minds strive to be perfect in their fields because that's the way to success. I'm a student in the distinguished discipline of Art while he is also a student in the highly placed discipline of Science. I came for night class, may be because I wanted to skip my constant visitor who visits only when my Cupboard is up-to-date. Apart from his frequent visits, night class wouldn't have been a better option because my Lodge is always as quite as grave yard. No party, no much happening guys, no girls; just guys who doesn't keep much friends in the Den Campus. I considered them as guys who condemned their selves to such a quite place because they wouldn't want people to know where they are living. My friend said 'no no no no, where u lives does not matter as long as the cupboard is up-to-date'. I would've love to be in a quite class and in the whole Den Campus, Pharmacy theatre Hall has the prestige of silence...

Just The Truth: Success Is The Choice You Make.

Ten years later, Chike came back, so big and tall, Charming and shining, gaily dressed in a white suit and long black shoes. Chike was the dumbest ass of the class, when we were in primary school. He could neither read nor write and the worst part of it was that copying of note was a war. Our teacher would call him names and emphatically tell him that he would never make it in life if he stays in school. To her, educational brilliancy was the only tool for chike to be great in life and to some extent she could be right. Chike had been advised on different occasions to quit school and try his career in the market since education was a waste of time for dumbest species like him, but he rejected such idea each time they comes. But one thing unique about Chike was that he has talent in music but our teacher said that such talent was nonsense since Chike couldn't read or write even at his age. The hand clock changed when the white men came to our school and Chike was singled ou...

A Letter To The Mighty Hands

Dear gods and goddesses, From my little abode I write to you creators of imageries. we have a lot to discus if my heavy pen, gives a head nod to us.  Stories over the period of time has been used to possess and disposes. Stories has been a fundamental instrument for according dignity to a set of people. Story is critical in the cause of vilification and glorification. Because of the quality a story has, dear creators of stories, create good stories.  Do not look Leary for theatricality in this "dramatic" letter and do not mind it's technicalities, not even the grammatical and sentence structures because you're reading from a humble imperfect excellent god; perhaps a great god in making. In as much we all know that Mr. and Mrs. poets has their license to do as they wish with words, the prosaic storytellers should at least take a pinch of such license also, because all gods should be god. gods should sometime create words that it's grammatical order and phi...

Photo credit: shutterstock.com As a child and now as a Youth, I can proudly say that I have encountered so many challenges and humiliations in my life. I would've love to conceal my entire ordeal as a former security officer, if i had any other story that can give meaning to my topic. I decided to use it not only because it drew image of educative humiliation but it still went far in empowering me through the humiliations. However, I don't know if my story fall in a better position to be categorized as that of a humiliating type but because of my humble understanding  on what humiliation is all about and changes it could muster, I decided, extemporaneously to share it. After my Jamb and WASSC examinations, I lost hope of gaining admission from any Federal University because my friend and I ran into a scammer who changed our motivations to the exams with inferiority complex there by conjugating us with a planned failure....
