Road To Success
In the environ of success the best minds strive to be perfect in their fields because that's the way to success.
I'm a student in the distinguished discipline of Art while he is also a student in the highly placed discipline of Science.
I came for night class, may be because I wanted to skip my constant visitor who visits only when my Cupboard is up-to-date. Apart from his frequent visits, night class wouldn't have been a better option because my Lodge is always as quite as grave yard. No party, no much happening guys, no girls; just guys who doesn't keep much friends in the Den Campus. I considered them as guys who condemned their selves to such a quite place because they wouldn't want people to know where they are living. My friend said 'no no no no, where u lives does not matter as long as the cupboard is up-to-date'.
I would've love to be in a quite class and in the whole Den Campus, Pharmacy theatre Hall has the prestige of silence may be because it harbors students whose only mindset was that they were in Den Campus just to read, read and know books. But unlike my Discipline, we believe that there is more to life in the Den Campus, than to read and know books alone.
I sat and kept my books on the desk and commenced reading. In about five minutes, He came in and sat next to me. My touch lamp wasn't that healthy, so I wholeheartedly shifted for him to balance well, because his Florescent Reading Lamp can serve a whole class. He looked at my books and smiled? He opened his books and began to calculate, improvising his phone for calculator.
You I have said it on countless basis, that I'm addicted in trying to know what doesn't concern me. I was more like piping inside his book but couldn't understand what he was reading or solving.

"You just looked into the book" he said boastfully patting my back. "You know you art students only read stories. This is spectrophotometer and colorimeter. Its is........."
I was calm, listening even though I was in ocean of confusion.
"Wow you science students are trying o. So after applying this procedures, you get to know whether the drug has the actual Milligram and quality?"
"Yes of course...everything will be there. I know you don't know anything about what I just said but that's science" he said proudly and began to read. He brought out biscuits and offered me one. I thanked him, but i did not collect it may be because I was preparing my next question for him.
"Can you use this same procedure to know if this biscuit is actually what it's supposed to be?"
"No.. It's just for drugs"
"Then what shall we use for biscuits"
"Biscuit is not a drug...I'm a pharmacist. We deal on drugs and chemicals not biscuits" he said in angry tone.
"But biscuit has a preservative chemical"
"Man I produce drugs not biscuits... May be you go to agricultural and industrial Engineering department or chemistry and ask them, they can tell you that"
OK, I said and began to read. He looked at my book and yet again dashed out an intimidating laughter.
"Why are you laughing?"
"You know you guys are always good in giving little things a very big name, just to make your selves known in grammar"
"Hahahaha" i laughed and patted his back. "This contains a Hamitic hypothesis and genealogical accounts of Igbo and jakun-aro origin. In it there are other homegrown accounts of it's political orders and social hierarchical order. For example Igbo origin has many hypothesis......"
By the time I could finish, he was half asleep.
"And what's that all about?"
"I just told you now... origin of Igbos in different accounts or perspectives...."
"You know you Art students love speaking much grammar..."
"The same way you guys do also...."
And that was the end. He couldn't argue much and left angrily. I wondered what I have done. I confided in my half dead touch light and moved on. My arguments punished me because I didn't shape words.
No place is higher.
Do not look down on others.
Be humble, at least all road leads to similar places.
Just try to be near perfect in your discipline.
