CHILD LABOR, THE BRIDGE BETWEEN THE TRUE LEADERS OF TOMORROW By ISRAEL EZE JACOB

Image
Soschildrensvillage “Child labor and poverty are inevitably bound together and if you continue to use the labor of children as the treatment for the social disease of poverty, you will have both poverty and child labor to the end of time.  Grace Abbott The eerie and pretentious stillness that consistently deluge our present day society is child labor; it has volu ntarily inhabited every nest edge of Nigeria and  hatched its disastrous eggs with noticeable evidence. As we daily increase in our numbers, a plethora of children are engaged in coerce labor, thereby, leaving the Nigerian children with little or no opportunity of promising future. This has proved nothing but a strong bulwark which curtailed the potential leaders in no distant time to infertile soil with massive itch on unproductivity and retrogression at a whole. These children are subjected to all forms of abusive measure which perniciously take away their time which they would have invested generously...

The Latest Counsel

Image
Ben&Armani The entrance looks Gentle and the building a vivid exaltation of the beauties of architecture. Inside the building, quadrangles are tiled and a canopy makes it more glorifying. A new comer would never wish to leave after gracing such a nice environment. Ears have heard that lawyers are trained there, and legs have come to assist the eyes see. Seeing they say is believing. Having passed jamb and post UTME, he stood so tall. Each morning he walks up to the mirror and check if a particular tie fits his neck. He looks at the white and black and laughed. Often he shook his head and Mumble 'Ife agbara na Uzo erike'. No matter what, he is now a law student and probably would be a lawyer soon and wins many cases. Things will change for good. The Bus that conveyed the latest Counsel from Garriki to Agbani took more than Supposed but Latest counsel didn't bother much on such pennies. He walks up to lady Justicia and smiled. He went back to his Lodge and change...

Why You Should Know The Law or Get a Lawyer: Personal Experience.

Image
What could I have done to abate the heart attack planned against me by the managing director of our company, who was also my principal, if there was nothing called number six within? Immediately after my secondary school, I worked with a security and Services outlet based in Awka. Our salaries come a week late, and we weren't happy for such because we put our lives on the line, making sure that the hotel is safe. I gained admission and tendered my resignation letter. My supervisor read my letter and said I wrote like someone who has already graduated from University. He was also happy that a boy he considered and helped despite being under age to work with the company will be moving ahead to pursue something bigger. My MD wasn't happy, I guess. As I counted on the day, my MD counted on the right to sack me. The onerousness of his plans made my supervisor to remind me of being careful with my duties. What a good man! He didn't tell me why; yet I was a lucky chil...

A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF CANNOT STAND; POLICE/ARMY RUPTURE, A NOXIOUS INNUENDO ABOUT OUR SECURITY APPARATUS. By: KELECHI. P. NWODO

Image
In our Country, it is not strange to hear of members of the law enforcement agencies paying the ultimate price in the course of executing their constitutional duties most times under murky and unsavory circumstances. For eons of years, the Joe Bloggs of these law enforcement agencies have ceaselessly reeked displeasure over the malady etched in their modus operandi and have pinpointed it as the main reason patrotic officers continuously fall prey to men of the underworld. However, it is anomalous and berating when comrades in the Armed Forces who ought to be peas in a pod begin to engage in wrangles even to the height of exchanging friendly fire. Again, in our country this is not a strange occurrence as we have seen and heard times innumerable of fratricidal incidents within the Armed Forces, bringing to mind that which is written in the holy book 📖📖  “a house divided against itself cannot stand” Without subscribing to jaundice, a large chunk of these fatal piques has been...

Family: How helpful Are your Uncles and Aunts Towards your Future?

Image
Have your Uncles and Aunts Been part of your Journey? Each time we spoke on the phone, he complained about one of his uncles and Aunts. None of them does anything meaningful to him despite the fact that they live in affluence. Some live in Dubai while one is a lawyer at UK. "My Aunt, live in Lagos and own a company. My father was the one that paid her school fees till university level. Now that my father is no longer rich as he used to be, she doesn't want to help me. Even my uncles. Each time you call them, story story" I often felt intimidated while he complained because those uncle and Aunt at least call him always to know how he is coping with studies. The only issue was that they rarely give him money the way his father used to do. "But she sent you 5k via my account last week. What about your uncle? That one sent..." "Ben, that's not enough. Understand nah... I will buy textbooks, buy clothes and other things and she is sending me ju...

My Sad Story: A lady On Car Spat On Me.

Image
DEAR GOD💔, I BEN ONYEKELU OLISA NEED A CAR. Why did the Aunty spit on me? 😓😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Today was sorrowful and unfavorable. My heart pour out tears and my spirit, broken. Why is the world like this? Who have I offended? Don't tell me 'nothing happened' because I'm bleeding in the heart. I thought I am unbreakable until today. Keduzi Ife m mere ndi uwa, what did I do to people of the world? I am not a native of bad luck and I agree that nativity is primitivity. I was rushing through the roads of University of Nigeria, with my spirit high. My department will be featuring in a popular tournament by 3pm. I was in spirit heading to see for myself how the Dean's cup will be won by my beautiful Brothers. I had no money on me, that gave me the courage and temerity to endure and trek. From my lodge to Franco pitch (Venue for the match) takes 28 minutes. Imagine me rushing to save at least 5 minutes. On my way, I met some of my lovely Wives and h...

SUCCESS COMES THROUGH PROVOCATION

Image
Journal. When things are not moving well for you, sit back and think. Go back to the chessboard and redraft your mission. If I have achieved any damn thing in my life, that's my key. Life has dearly left me with some lessons. When you fail and continue to fail, sit back and ask yourself some critical questions. Where have I gotten it wrong? Why am I failing? Am I repeating same failed procedures? What can I do to move on? My friend wrote his first Jamb examination when I was in Ss3 and scored 200. So poor for someone aspiring to study in University of Nigeria. He failed the second time and it was as if he had offended the gods of success. Same year he failed, I gained entry into the the prestigious university of Nigeria that he dreamed of. It was a one way thing for me; not really hard as people said. Thanks be to God.  He wrote the third time and still failed. Each time he called me, he ended up saying 'you are lucky Ben. I wish I can have your kind of future'. ...

We  often  played in the  mother 's  bed  whenever she wasn't  around .  The  joy  of it  all  was that we always abandoned the  food   kept  for  practice and us our own cooking.  Her  mother 's  Brother   was  the  landlord  of my  mother 's Restaurant.  Smiles... we  didn't go much in  naughty .   We   knew  nothing much then.  The  joy  of it  all  was that  we  always abandoned the  food   kept  for  practice  and us  our own cooking.
